Many successful photographers joke that you don't really become a pro until you graduate from shooting bees - but I've found the exact opposite to be true. What's more amazingly simple - yet at the same time so incredibly complex - than the intricate filaments on a bees wings? I find it an opportunity to immerse myself in child-like wonder, and at no other time am I so completely present and connected. The day I stop dancing with bees and butterflies is the day I put down my camera for good.
